July Tips PLANT 1.) Fall perennials 2.) Crape Myrtles while they are in bloom to confirm variety and color. 3.) Start fall tomato transplants early this month. 4.) Bermuda seed lawns can still be started this month, remember to keep the seed moist until it comes up.  After the seed is up water daily until well rooted. FERTILIZER 1.) Apply water soluble food to container plants on a weekly schedule. 2.) Fertilize annual and perennial beds with Fertilome Premium Bedding Plant Food.  3.) It is time to feed your lawn with Fertilome Lawn Food plus Iron. 4.) Use Fertilome New Lawn Starter on lawns less than a year old. 5.) Apply Fertilome Root Stimulator or Start-n-Grow on newly planted trees & shrubs. WATCH OUT 1.)  Watch for Aphids on Crape Myrtles.  Spray as soon as you notice them. 2.)  watch for nut sedge, treat with Image. DON'T FORGET! 1.)  Water all potted plants everyday during the hot summer months! 2.)  It is always best to water first thing in the morning not at night so there is no chance of getting a fungus.
